For use on all Advantex exit devices, the Electric Switching (ES) option includes two switches; one to
monitor the latch bolt position and the other to monitor mechanical access from the exterior. It is designed
for doors that require a means of indicating when the latch bolt is retracted while providing an
alarm inhibit when using key entry. Always used in conjunction with other security systems, the Advantex
ES function provides switch jumpers to field select either normally closed or normally open contacts that
can provide a signal to a variety of different components such as remote alarm or a central station.
