The WTDWD33PURZ WD Purple Surveillance Hard Drive is a 3TB, 3.5-inch SATA 6 Gb/s HDD designed for continuous mainstream video surveillance recording. It uses CMR recording technology, Advanced Format support and WD AllFrame technology, with a 256 MB cache and a maximum 180 MB/s host-to/from-drive transfer rate confirmed for this model.

Built for DVR and NVR surveillance systems, this drive supports up to 64 single-stream HD cameras and surveillance storage systems with up to 16 drive bays. Its always-on surveillance design is supported by a 180 TB/year workload rating, RV sensors, tarnish-resistant components and a 3-year limited warranty.
